|
Further to the previously circulated MCV, as promised I would like to provide an update on developing actions. Action 20 – Utilise ASB Act Powers and Sanctions: Today (24/05/2026), the main suspect relating to the ASB incident on 01/05/2026 attended the police station accompanied by his mother, where he was showed the footage and issued with an Acceptable Behaviour Agreement (ABA). He was extremely apologetic and took ownership of his actions. In addition, a banning order has been put in place preventing him from attending the area for a period of 12 months. The ABA includes the following conditions: I WILL NOT gather in or around Sevenoaks Town Centre with any other person, UNLESS accompanied by a family member over the age of 18 or going to and from school. I WILL NOT attend any of the following places unless accompanied by a family member over the age of 18: I WILL NOT engage in any criminal activity or anti social behaviour I WILL NOT be verbally abusive or act in a manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to members of the community or businesses operating within the Sevenoaks District I WILL NOT engage in any activity that is likely to cause any person harassment alarm or distress
Please notify me if this male is seen in breach of these conditions.
Action 21 – Issue warning letters and S59 notices to nuisance vehicles: Reports were received on 23/05/2026 regarding nuisance motorbikes within the town car park, which were seen riding from the top to the bottom of the car park in an antisocial manner. CCTV enquiries have been completed, identifying the index numbers of four motorcycles involved. These vehicles were reported as being ridden in an ASB manner, and as a result, warning letters will be issued to the registered keepers advising them of the behaviour and warning of potential future seizure under relevant legislation should the behaviour continue. | ||
